DAVID LAWRENCE scored High School Musical 1, 2 & 3, American Pie 1 & 2, Van Wilder (Ryan Reynolds), Ambulance Girl (Kathy Bates), Pop Rocks (Gary Cole, Sherilyn Fenn), Jimmy Glick in LA LA Wood (Martin Short, Janine Garofolo), Life Without Dick (Harry Connick Jr., Sarah Jessica Parker), Twelve Men of Christmas (Kristen Chenoweth), Company Man (Woody Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Allen Cummings) and Muppet Classic Theater (Kermit, Miss Piggy).
On television you’ve heard his music on Jericho, Harper’s Island, The Cleaner (Benjamin Bratt), Cane (Jimmy Smits), Charlie Lawrence (Nathan Lane) to name but a few. He contributed songs to Disney’s High School Musical 1 & 2, Cheetah Girls 2, Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure, MTV’s American Mall and Holidaze. He received a Quadruple Platinum CD for his work on the original High School Musical soundtrack (the best selling CD of 2006) and served as Music Director and Supervisor on the Emmy Award winning Life With Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows (Judy Davis, Hugh Laurie).
He has received two coveted ASCAP Achievement Awards for his work on High School Musical 3 and American Pie 2. Off Broadway, he was the Arranger/Orchestrator for Amanda McBroom's Heartbeats, Carol King's Tapestry and Alan Sherman's Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah. He has Arranged/Orchestrated records for Elaine Paige, Randy Graff and Debbie Gravitte. In the summer of 2010 he was asked to compose and produce the music for the Lake of Dreams’ Orb Show (Kenny Ortega, director/choreographer) at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas. Most recently he adapted, arranged, orchestrated and produced the score for Disney's Camp Rock for Disney Theatrical. He lives in Los Angeles with his collaborator/wife Faye Greenberg and his daughter Mabel.
